Born on November 25 1968 Jillian Noel Hennessy is active Canadian actress and singer celebrated for her significant contributions to American television. She has been praised for her stellar performance on the American TV show Law & Order in which she as Claire Kincaid as a prosecutor for three seasons. She also appeared on Crossing Jordan, wherein she portrayed Jordan Cavanaugh the main character over a period of six years. She also put her acting abilities on display in the films RoboCop 3 Most Wanted as well as Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. Through these independently produced films, she showed off her co-directing and writing muscles. Hennessy began her acting career along with her twin sister as twin call-girls in Dead Ringers in 1988. In 1990, she appeared on Broadway in the role of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. She then moved into sci-fi and played her first role as Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. Her breakthrough came later that year when she joined the ensemble of the cult NBC crime drama Law & Order as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. This role captivated the audience for three seasons before she left it in 1996. Parker was a part of a variety of films and shows, including RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys from the Side West Wing Angels and Angels in America. As a result of these roles she was awarded an Emmy Award in 2006 and a Golden Globe Award in 2006 as well as an Emmy Award in 2007. Parker received her 2001 Tony Award as Best Actress at the Broadway Show Proof.
