Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name for Winona Laura Hoowitz who was who was born within Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter after her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's mother and father are both Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder as well as her entire family moved to California's Mendocino County, when Ryder was seven. The family didn't have electricity. Ryder was an avid bookworm and would spend her days reading books because there was no TV. Ryder began to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged twelve years old. When she was 15years old, Ryder was offered her very first role on the screen in Lucas. Ryder suffered bullying in high school. Her professional acting, she believed that it would aid her. Sadly, this didn't occur. But she continued to chase the dreams she had. Her biggest break occurred in the year 1988, when Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to play success in roles. In 1993, she was nominated twice for Academy Awards. One of the nominations was for her part in The Age of Innocence.
